About the Program
The Scalp Health & Hair Care Science Certification is USTI's newest credential, designed and written from the ground up by the institute that set the standard in trichology. Every day, clients sit in chairs with flaking, itching, thinning, and product confusion, and the professional in front of them has no real answer. This certification exists to make you the one who does.
It is built to fit a working life: visual-first lessons with all-new graphics in every chapter, an At Your Own Pace format you can complete around a full schedule, and a live virtual option if you learn best in a real class. Worth 10 Continuing Education (CE) Credits through the US Trichology Institute, with an optional AMCA certificate included in every tier.

What You'll Learn
Across eleven modules: scalp and hair anatomy, hair health and the six types of hair damage, scalp types and proper scalp care, at-home product categories, hair care and scalp care ingredient science, how to build and customize product recommendations for any client, how to identify early signs of hair loss and when to refer, common scalp diseases, chemical services and their effect on scalp health, the flaking scalp in depth (dandruff, seborrheic dermatitis, psoriasis, and atopic dermatitis), and nutrition and supplementation support. The program closes with a capstone of real-world case studies and worked examples you can apply with your very next client.
